GED for Prisoners
General Educational Development (GED)
Many people are incarcerated in the Franklin county detention center. I feel that if you are going to be in jail for more than sixty days which many are, waiting for bond, or have been sentenced. If they do not have a GED degree I believe if they want one they should be able to obtain it, instead of accomplishing nothing. I will give them a choice to better their life by earning this GED. I would do this with the help of the auxiliary sheriff office personnel. I will contact the local community college and request their help also. At least they will know the sheriff’s office does not want to see them back in this situation again. Please contact me if you are interested in helping me do this.
